About
Art Director: James Martin III
James Martin III is the four-year-old art director for William the Garbage Truck and Crew. Just like his dad, James III plays hard and thinks hard. Acutely observational, he doesn’t miss a beat in most conversations. If he does, he will surely ask enough questions until he gets it right. Thoughtful and talkative, he’ll tell you what he thinks once he’s thought it through. These skills came in handy while working with his dad on the William and The Crew series. Looking through his young eyes and with his creative juices, he was able to help his father create each character’s image. One day he told his dad, “William’s nose looks too long and it doesn’t have holes.” This is just one of his contributions that led to William’s final image. So young, yet so influential, we are sure that this is just the beginning for little James. He loves his family, friends, sports and French fries.
Creator/Author: James Martin II
James was born and raised in Queens NY. Beginning his business career at the early age of eighteen with the launch of a sporting goods store, it was clear that James Martin II would make the most of his entrepreneurial skills. Just two years later he expanded by opening a barbershop and several other businesses. Through his early and mid-twenties, James gathered experience in real estate the only way he knew how - by jumping in headfirst. Purchasing properties in New York, Georgia and Maryland prepared him for his real estate license. His drive, talent and experience turned into an eleven-year career in real estate developments and multi-unit apartment complexes. Along the way, he also became the owner of a successful brokerage firm.
James’ real estate accomplishments made him financially independent, allowing him to be an asset to others. He became especially interested in the struggles of talented, ambitious people who simply do not have the funds to support their creative pursuits. Inspired to help these individuals make their dreams realities, James developed and created Dream Liaison, LLC, an angel investment company. Through Dream Liaison, James has been able to invest in a variety of projects in the fashion, entertainment, business and real estate industries. Two of these properties are Kara Saun (www.KaraSaun.com), a high-end women’s couture line and the independent feature film “Mo,” for which he has become the Executive Producer (www.mofilm.net). More information about Dream Liaison, LLC can be found at www.DreamLiaison.com.
Always determined to make the world a better place, James has become the self-published author of the “William The Garbage Truck & Crew” storybook series. His passion to help others extends beyond environmental conservation to our individual lives as well. “Don’t Date Who You Wouldn’t Marry” is his first adult self-help book, due for a 2008 release.
Believing that even the smallest contribution makes a difference, James hopes to lead by example. By encouraging environmental awareness, artistic financial support and individual personal balance, James envisions a ripple effect of health, hope and happiness for generations to come.
